TRMStv
What is TRMStv?
TRMStv is the combined work of the 16 students who are enrolled in the Telecommunications Class at Tomas Rivera Middle School. We meet during our Advisory period at the beginning of each day. Our mission is twofold: we are responsible for broadcasting the school's live daily news program, and we create videos documenting the many activities at our school.

TRMStv Announcements
Live Daily - 8:00 a.m. Each morning, we produce and broadcast live to an audience of over 1,000 students and staff at Tomas Rivera Middle School. The announcements usually last between ten and fifteen minutes and include time with the principal, assistant principal, counselors, ASB representatives, and special guests such as students or teachers representing their clubs at school. Teachers can also have their school-wide announcements read by a couple members of our team. |
TRMStv YouTube Channel
Once a week (usually toward the beginning of the week) we post the morning announcements on our YouTube channel so that the parents of our students can learn more about what is happening at Tomas Rivera Middle School. We also post videos showcasing our school's special events such as dances, concerts, and other activities. Please consider subscribing to our channel. |

How to Get an Announcement Read Live On-Air
Perhaps the easiest, quickest, and most reliable way to get your message on the day's news is to simply stop by the Media Broadcasting Room before school begins and let our team know what it is that you want shared with the school. One of the news-crew chiefs will be there between 7:30 and 8:00 to write down your message.
How to Join the TRMStv Team
At the end of the school year, several 6th grade teachers each nominate a student from their class that he or she believes would be a good addition for the forthcoming school year. Another way to make it onto the the announcements is by becoming a member of ASB; they send two representatives to deliver their news every day.

How to Be a Part of Our Studio Audience
We have room for one or two student visitors who would like to watch us produce the morning news program. If you would like to see the news being made, ask your Advisory teacher to make arrangements for your visit with Mr. Blomberg. We are located in a small room on the south-west side of the library.
